Ilkley and District Good Neighbours – Dementia Cafe
Ilkley & District Good Neighbours was established in the 1970s and is a local charity operating a range of social and practical schemes, constantly striving to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people in the district. We believe in the power of community action to make a difference in people’s daily lives.
Ilkley and District Good Neighbours run the Dementia Wellbeing Café on the first and third Tuesday of each month. 1.30 pm to 3.30pm.
The café is open to people with dementia along with another person, probably a family member, friend or carer. You are very welcome to join us for a light lunch, make new friends and have fun.
Sessions include live entertainment, a sing-a-long and a dance as well as quizzes and games. And there’s always a willing ear for carers with any questions or difficulties.
